The Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus has secured an order from Indonesia’s air force for twelve PC-24 planes, with an option to purchase additional units. The deal includes ground support equipment, tools, spare parts, training courses, and technical assistance from the company’s headquarters in Stans. Details on the transaction value have not been disclosed.
The monopilot-configurable PC-24 is versatile for governmental missions, instrument flight training for pilots, transport, and liaison services. Capable of operating from small airports and unpaved runways, the aircraft offers enhanced accessibility across Indonesia’s archipelago, comprising 17,000 islands, according to a press release from the Central Swiss company issued this evening.
