A Swiss man in his fifties, suspected of murdering a woman who went missing earlier this year, was apprehended today at Engwang (TG) by cantonal police during an extensive operation. The public prosecutor has initiated proceedings against him on charges of intentional homicide. According to a joint statement released today by the Thurgau prosecutor’s office and the police, he is being investigated ‘with strong suspicion’.
The investigation began after a woman went missing in January; she would be 51 years old today. Based on evidence collected so far, authorities suspect her death was a murder. The arrested individual is at the heart of these investigations.
